Anthony Anderson is under criminal investigation for assault by the Los Angeles Police Department, Variety reports.
Anderson, who’s being investigating for allegedly assaulting a woman following an event she catered for him, denies the allegations. The woman filed a police report with the Hollywood Division of the LAPD earlier in the year. Details of the alleged assault, which reportedly happened over a year ago, are currently unknown. The assault allegedly took place when the woman met with Anderson to talk business.
“It’s unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false,” a rep for the Black-ish star told TMZ. “The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.”
