After LaKeith Stanfield spent one Sunday in December teasing the fuck out of the Atlanta-loving community with premiere dates for the long-awaited second season, FX has officially announced that we’ll be getting the return of Donald Glover’s acclaimed show on March 1 at 10 p.m.
One thing that Stanfield said was true is that this second season of Atlanta is being called “Atlanta Robbin’ Season.” There isn’t much in the way of new information regarding the season, aside from Variety reporting that it will be focused on the two cousins (Glover’s Earn and Brian Tyree Henry’s Paper Boi) working “through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families.” Judging by the quirky “Twin Peaks with rappers” vibe that Glover achieved with the first season, we know that this show is much more than that plotline.
