This time I have filmed a 390H BMW i8 tuned by PP Performance, in action on the drag strip racing against other supercars like the Porsche 996 Turbo (570HP), BMW M3 E92 (446HP), BMW 1M Coupe (500HP) and a Chevrolet Corvette C6 Cabrio LS3 (436HP).
Vmax top speed with 50km/h Rolling start after 1000meters:
BMW i8: 232,89 km/h
Porsche 997 Turbo: 261,51 km/h
BMW M3 E92: 227,82 km/h
BMW 1M Coupe: 249,32 km/h
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Cabrio: 241,70 km/h

First of all the BMW i8 isn't a drag car and it's not even a race car. It's a badass luxury sport hybrid supercar. If looks could kill the i8 would be a mass murderer.. I have a stage 2 tune in mine and with the electric motor in the front and the 3-cylinder turbo in the back working together all wheel drive in sport mode it's plenty fast with 380hp and 460 pounds of torque with a drag coef better than any car around.. not to mention the car weighs 3250 lbs . I've hit 3.4 seconds 0-60 with launch control and I have a European model and there's no governor or speed limiter.. 1/4 mile 11.9 was my best time. Using Vbox. And I forgot to say that is a pussy magnet panty dropping machine

If you call a BMW i8 slow your basically calling a 1M and a M3 slow. What people need to do is make more sense and say it’s slow to what it looks like the i8 seems like a car that would compete with the Nobile M600 but it really doesn’t.
