This bodycam footage shows the dramatic last minutes of a dad-of-two’s life after he was shot with a taser and bitten by a police dog.
Police have released the six-minute clip which shows officers entering the flat in Chesterton where party-goer Adrian McDonald had barricaded himself in a room.
It ends with 34-year-old Adrian being placed in the back of a police van – and just a short time later he was dead.
A jury today found Adrian died as a result of the effects of cocaine and the stress of his arrest following a 12-day inquest at Hanley Town Hall.
The footage starts with an officer shouting ‘We want you to come out’ with Adrian heard in the background.
Then cuts to a policeman calling: “This is your last chance, I’ve got a police dog here. Open the door or I’ll let the dog in.”
The dog can be heard repeatedly barking before the door is smashed in as a taser is wielded.
The actual shooting and police dog bites have not been released but the aftermath with Adrian in a distressed state on the floor can be seen.
He is repeatedly told to ‘calm down’ as his breathing becomes laboured.
