“An officer was on a call and came across Robert Ortega (36) which he discovered had a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child. When the officer attempted to take Ortega into custody, an altercation ensued, a Taser was used and the officer discharged his firearm. Ortega then fled in a vehicle. The vehicle was later located at a Millcreek residence in the area of 4100 South 800 East. Containment was set up on the home and the Unified Police SWAT responded. The suspect was not located in the home or in the back shed. The suspect was located on the morning of 11/5/18 by UPD and was taken into custody.” – Salt Lake City Police Department Report.
