To be honest, doctor strange saw every possible outcome …. so he knew Thanos would acquire all the stones. Dr.Strange KNEW starlord would get emotional. Dr.Strange knew everything would fail and that to save everyone, Thanos NEEDED to acquire all 6 stones. I’m tellin y’all, Tony Stark is the key to this shit. Dr.Strange wouldn’t sacrifice the the stone for tony or Spider-Man in the beginning, but after seeing 14,000,605 outcomes and he then gives the stone to thanos IN ORDER TO SAVE IRONMAN…..
