Cameron Boyce’s parents sat down for their first interview since his tragic death and discussed how happy Cameron was when he passed away and their final moments together as a family.

How’s it going everyone? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and Cameron’s parents, Victor and Libby Boyce, just gave their first interview since their son’s sudden death last month.

Cameron’s parents confirmed that his epilepsy was the cause of his death but his mom Libby said quote, “he didn’t want his epilepsy to define him.”

And from how highly his parents and all his friends speak of him, his epilepsy certainly didn’t define who Cameron was.

The couple told Good Morning America about the completely normal family dinner they had the night Cameron died.

Victor continued on to say quote, “It was a completely normal, beautiful family night out to dinner. There was no indication that anything was wrong. I mean there was no way to know in hours my son would be dead. Like, it was just staggeringly crazy and horrible. And we were texting that night.”

And while Cameron’s parents are proud of his on-screen accomplishments, it’s his charity work they really want to highlight.

And his parents are focusing on his charity work being his legacy with the Cameron Boyce Foundation.

His dad added quote, “His legacy is important to us because we don’t want him to be remembered as just an actor or some Disney kid. Because he was so much more than that.”

And fans are loving how his parents are choosing to honor Cameron.

One person said quote, “How amazing, they are carrying him on in a beautiful way ❤️”

And another said quote, “cameron boyce will live on, i feel so heartbroken with his death, rest in peace cam. all of my love and respects go to the parents. 💔”

Good Morning America’s full interview with Cameron’s parents will air tomorrow if you want to check it out.
