On today’s episode, Gilbert Arenas and the #OutofBounds crew kick things off with a discussion of men’s suspect locker room behavior before weighing in on a report that the NBA plans to lift the minimum age requirement to enter the draft — effectively ending the one-and-done era. Gil has some issues with how the league wants to use the G League, and the idea schools will stop paying players, but he’s sure happy his sons can make the leap straight from high school to the league and cash money! Next, following the revelation that superstar boxer Canelo Alvarez tested positive for a banned substance and blamed contaminated Mexican meat, the OOB team talks…taints. Was training in Mexico just a way for Canelo to mask his use of clenbuterol? Is his rematch with GGG tainted now as well? Then, in “Fair or Foul?”, Gil and the guys examine sports leagues’ insistence on an “integrity fee” if states legalize sports betting. With MLB commish Rob Manfred flaming West Virginia for not including one in its recent bill, you have to wonder, is it about the “integrity” of sports or filthy rich dudes getting even richer? To close the day out, the gang weighs in on the report that Braves right fielder Nick Markakis threatened to kick an exec’s ass for verbally abusing his incompetent manager. Gil breaks down the golden rule for whom you can threaten with the hands.
