Charles Barkley Thinks Kevin Durant Has Morphed Into a ‘Totally Different Person’

Monday marked the premiere of a new morning show on ESPN called Get Up. Charles Barkley, who made an appearance on the new show, offered his two cents about the supposed heel turn that Kevin Durant has undergone since signing with Golden State in 2016.

In response to a question from host Michelle Beadle, Barkley gave his trademark honesty that makes him endearing and also (occasionally) gets him into trouble.

“Well you know Kevin is interesting because he used to be one of the nicest nicest guys in the world,” Barkley said. “And when he went to Golden State, he’s trying to prove something to people I think … it seems like when people turned against him, he let it really affect him and he’s turned into a totally different person.”

  1. KD wants people to like the decision but no real competitive hooper or fan will ever. Warriors 73-9 KD up 3-1 on them then choke and join them 🤨. KD is the Greatest scorer I ever seen 💯 but he did a lame move and that’s why he not comfortable out here.

  2. Nah. KD said in one interview in his 3rd or 4th year that he is tired of being treated as a nice boy that NBA drew for him when he got drafted. He said he wanted to be himself which is a bad ass person so he can get some advantage on the court. If your image is "nice" you can hardly play in this league.

  3. People get tired of the bullshit criticism day after day. Sooner or later that "Nice shit" goes out the window. They need to leave the man tf alone and let him do his job.
