Emilia Clarke Says Goodbye to ‘Game of Thrones’: ‘It’s Been a Trip’

With its eighth season set to premiere at some point next year, Game of Thrones is wisely taking the Costanza route of leaving on a high note. Still, saying goodbye to a pop culture maelstrom of this magnitude isn’t easy. Just ask star Emilia Clarke.

“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade,” Clarke said on Instagram Sunday. The Solo: A Star Wars Story star also thanked her series family for providing her with “the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live.”

  1. A prequel in Game of Thrones would be great especially if we get to see Robert's rebellion and a young Eddard Stark in his best fighting years. They could even show how king Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros.

  2. if it fucked her up on what peoples "last taste of who daenarys is" Anyone with half a brain can read between the lines and understand that she means daenarys turns evil vs jon snow i will come back to this comment if its true
