The trailer for ‘Little Women’ just dropped and amid all the early Oscar buzz, something else is catching people’s eyes … or rather, their ears.

What’s up guys it’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and a lot of people are wondering what’s going on with Emma Watson’s accent in the brand-new trailer for Little Women

Emma had just a few lines in the 2 minute 30 second trailer BUT it was enough to get people talking and kind of confused!

I mean, her accent upstaged Timothee freaking Chalamet

And Meryl Streep’s instantly iconic one liner

Hmm anyone else getting big little lies vibes?

Anyway, Lindsay Lohan better watch her back because Emma Watson is definitely vying for the title of Queen of Weird Accents … one more time shall we?

Just because my dreams are different than yours doesn’t mean that they’re unimportant

Wait, I’m confused, was that supposed to be an American accent?? It kind of sounds sorta British sorta Irish if you ask me… but I mean, who am I to talk about accents.

And I’m not the only person confused, Twitter has had a lot to say about it.
One person said “Emma Watson’s American accent locked up in Azkaban”

Another compared Emma to Dorit from Real Housewives

Wait, but, guys, come on! Emma has done an American accent before in the Bling Ring

Okayyy so it wasn’t so great then either…

But in Emma’s defense, who cares if she hasn’t taken any vocal accent lessons since 2013.

She’s been busy! You know, advocating for human rights and stuff like that

And you know what, she’s an amazing actress, whatever accent she feels like doing. So let’s cut her a break for now. I personally LOVE Emma Watson and I cannot wait to see her in this film and the entire cast. Um, Hello Timothee Chalamet. But right now I want to know what you guys think.
