Erykah Badu Faces Major Backlash After Talking Positively About Hitler

During her Everyday Struggle visit back in November of 2017, the world got to see the free-spirited Erykah Badu in all of her glory. And while she references the public’s perception of her relationship with rappers (“That I take rappers to the sunken place” is how she describes it) in a new conversation with Vulture, heads are reacting to her comments on Adolf Hitler and Bill Cosby more than anything.

The interview is fascinating in its flow. The conversation that brought up Cosby, and later Hitler, started out as Badu speaking on her appreciation for XXXTentacion’s work, and the idea of separating the person from the art they are making. “I love Bill Cosby, and I love what he’s done for the world. But if he’s sick, why would I be angry with him? The people who got hurt, I feel so bad for them. I want them to feel better, too. But sick people do evil things; hurt people hurt people.”

  1. slavery was a genocide too and lasted hundreds of years.Oh let's not forget the civil rights movement Founding fathers/past president s had the power to stop this.Yet we glorify them in our history books and paint there faces oh our currency. They did the same thing Hitler. Can you see the beauty in that wake up.

  2. LOL at all of the pathetic dipshits trying to take up for her ill-informed comments simply because they're fans of her music.  Badu has made racist/divisive statements since the beginning of her career.  This is nothing new.  She thinks (or attempts to portray) that she has a "deeper intellect" than she actually does.  "Hitler was a great painter" is just one more of her asinine comments that proves this.  He wasn't accepted into art schools as a young man because he absolutely sucked at painting. ANYONE that knows even a SHRED of Hitler's history knows that. IT'S TAUGHT IN MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR FUCK'S SAKE!!!!

  3. if she lived in Germany in WW2 she would be pretty much dead by his orders, he hated blacks… she is totally crazy thinking there is good in that maniac coward

  4. How insensitive Erykah is. She doesn't realized that millions of people were tortured and killed. There were old people, children, pregnant mothers, handicapped people that died because this man decided that he was god and was going to purify the world.

  5. Whats funny is she's right. Many aren't ready for that knowledge. She's very in-tuned so none of this bs matters to her. Im 90% sure she didn't say any of that for a reaction. She believes it.

  6. But have any of u youtubed hitlers art? lol fuckin sheep… he was no Dali but he aint bad at it… we live in 1984 the orwellian version. u kids are all fucked in 20 years if that.
