Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s Kids See Ghosts album was one of the most anticipated releases of the year. But did the collaborative project generate enough hype to secure a No. 1 debut? It unfortunately doesn’t look that way.
According to first-week sales projections reported by HitsDailyDouble, Kids See Ghosts is expected to move between 100,000 and 110,000 album equivalent units—55,000 to 60,000 of which will be from traditional sales. That’s nearly 100,000 units less than what Kanye’s solo album, Ye, was initially projected to earn its first week; and about 30,000 more than what Pusha-T’s DAYTONA album earned in its first week.
