Issa Rae May Have Revealed a Major Character Will Not Return for ‘Insecure’ Season 3

Like it or not, there are a lot of changes coming to Insecure season 3, and the latest revelation will have those in the #LawrenceHive a little upset. According to Vulture, there’s a pretty good chance Jay Ellis won’t appear at all in the third season.

Issa Rae and showrunner Prentice Penny explained this move as keeping things realistic between Issa and Lawrence, who ended the second season saying goodbye after Lawrence discovered Issa’s continued romance with Daniel, played by Y’lan Noel.

  1. Y'all don't understand this is great, Lawrence is a god, his story is finished, I'm happy there isn't an opportunity to tear him down, lets celebrate this man who lived the life of a king 🙏👑

  2. The show wont be the same, obviously. But he is a key character. Im interested in saying if I will still have the same level of excitement and interest about the show. Lawrence was my guy.

  3. Who cares…??? That show sucks ass anyway. Any grown ass black man watching that bedwench white supremacist propaganda is a fucking buck dancing fool. Go get you an Asian man bitch.
