Jim Jones was arrested for drug and firearm possession in Georgia after he and friends led cops on a chase, TMZ reports.
Cops attempted to pull over a car in Cowetta County on Thursday. The New York City rapper was riding in the backseat of the car with three other people. However, the Sheriff’s Department reports that the car did not stop and they gave chase. The car subsequently struck a deputy’s vehicle and was stopped.
After a search, police reportedly found marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges, THC oil, two loaded pistols, and cash. Jones called the last item “just petty cash.” One of the pistols was apparently stolen. No one in the group claimed ownership of the items, although Jones said he has a prescription for the oxycodone and Percocet. Jones also told the cops he instructed the driver to pull over, but she was “incoherent.”
