LeBron James Is Reportedly Trying to Recruit Stars to Cleveland

LeBron James has not yet announced his free agency decision, and he probably won’t for another month or so, but people are starting to believe he might actually return to Cleveland. The likelihood of that outcome, of course, would increase if the Cavs could improve their roster—and apparently LeBron is doing what he can to bring in fellow stars.

Ryen Russillo of ESPN appeared on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt after Thursday night’s draft and shared as much.

  1. actually he didn’t say he knows for a fact that Lebron will stay because that would be stupid. Ryan Russillo is many things, but stupid is not one of them. He merely said Lebron is trying to make it work.

  2. Nobody wants to see Cleveland go back AGAIN next year especially after last season flop… He can stay if he wants , but the smart thing to do is leave and compete elsewhere

  3. I've said from the beginning he ain't leaving. He's not desperate for another ring. He wants to win again but he ain't desperate. He has money and he had rings. He dosen't want all the bullshit backlash that comes with leaving. He dosen't want to be KD. He's not leaving.

  4. Wow! He tried that LAST SEASON! LeBron James needs to stop being himself for a HOT MINUTE. He goes too hard! If he made a natural organic decision, whether he stays or goes, but he needs to have Love for the Game, not chase Rings. He had Dwade, again! He could have appreciated that and slowly pulled up on Melo and CP3, and D.Rose off the Bench for a Deep Backcourt rotation? Imagine? We know Houston has a long while before Golden State can fall in the West, and OKC has BEEN Cursed with not getting it together, so CP3 and Melo, as fading Vets, may not have enough to turn those franchises around, but teamed up with Lebron and Dwade, all that experience and Chemistry, that would have been incredible, and I would have wagered could immediately become a Powerhouse Team even Golden State would need to compensate against to Win. Yes they are older and have injuries, but without Love for the Game and Comradery with Teams causes all that Drama and Soap Opera shit we dealt with. I know L.A. would take Lebron, but Paul George or Giannis would be better to build a future, Lebron may play for awhile but at what level?

  5. CP3…CAUSE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT NEW OWNER IN HOUSTON WANT TO PAY HIM THAT SUPER MAX AND HE ALWAYS HURT. AND CP3 WOULD BE MAKING $47 MILL WHEN HE IS 37 YEARS OLD. NOW, I WOULD NOT PAY HIM THAT PERSONALLY, BUT IF IT WAS THIS WINK WINK HANDSHAKE THAT MOREY AND PAUL CAMP AGREED TO..PAY THE FUCKIN MAN AND BE A MAN OF YOUR WORD. BUT, IT WAS A DIFFERENT OWNER, AND MOREY IS AT THE DISCRETION OF HIM. BUT CAP WISE, LEBRON AND CP3 GON BE LOOKING AT A SERIOUS HAIRCUT FINICALLY TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. REALLY, I THINK ITS IMPOSSIBLE. BUT HEY, WILL SEE
