It seems Melania Trump didn’t get the memo on Donald Trump’s tweets against LeBron James—or did she? Earlier this week, CNN’s Don Lemon interviewed the NBA legend on the opening of his school, I Promise, which will serve at-risk kids in his hometown, Akron, Ohio. While most have deemed James’ as admirable, Trump had other ideas: “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do,” he tweeted.
“Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?” retorted Lemon, referring to the thousands of immigrant children being held in detention centers as a result of Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy.
