Pusha T Viciously Claps at Drake on ‘Adidon’ Diss – Who Had Better Bars? | Everyday Struggle

On today’s episode of #EverydayStruggle, DJ Akademiks, Nadeska, and Wayno give a full breakdown of Pusha T’s new Drake diss song, “The Story of Adidon.” The crew did a deep dive on the lyrics, how it compares to Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle,” who now has the advantage in the beef and much more. Later, Akademiks and Wayno debated about whether or not Pusha T went too far with the shots at Drake’s producer 40, before diving into Quentin Miller’s involvement in the beef.

  1. I feel like this beef was like that dress that people thot were two different colors, people were hearing the same songs and hearing two different things completely. To me duppy was just stating facts with very few disses that have already been thrown at push. But Addidon, I just listened to it again for the first time in a year and was able to follow along and remembered all the nuances and layers. I don’t think it was respected enough while it was here cause hip hop been pivoting away from beef since everyone works with everyone now. But Addidon was prolly the best diss track of the decade, maybe the best since the early 2000s, especially with the context of Infrared. I wish drake didn’t bitch out, wanted to see what else each of them had

  2. AK was big hurt..homie couldn’t handle that Drake got kilt in this battle. I fucks with Drake, I will always play a song twice to get the sound and flow and catch some bars , then a 2nd time get it all in and what I missed …but I don’t remember shit from that diss. Pusha had memorable bars and I ran that track enough times to cover for those who didn’t listen to it.

  3. It says alot that we're willing to overlook an artist clowning the race (in public) in the process of selling records.
Drake put on blackface and showed it off to his white friends & all blk ppl care about is his bars on the record.

  4. That curses shit that Wayno said wasnt bars was great rhyme scheme shit was str8 forward as fuck. Drake cant out bar push unless push dumb it down. which he did and thats why drake outbarred him here.

  5. stop with the Drake does this and Drake does that because we all know drake doesn't write his rhymes so stop with the drake does bull crap say drakes ghost writer's do it and I guess all of you black lives matter pro black brother's of the struggle totally forgot the fact this bitch ass phony drake took a picture in full black face with a Jim crow t.shirt on and a big smile on his face while saying fuck every black person in America do something about it and not one person did any thing remotely like doing something about it .I'm not in show biz because if I was he would have got his bottom jaw shattered.

  6. 1 year later and I honestly have more quotables from Story of Adidon.
The only bars I can remember from Duppy is “Father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me”, “had your info read (infrared) wrong now your head on a beam” and “I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back because he makes me nervous”
Story of Adidon is really a whole quotable song from top to bottom.
