Selena Gomez Opens Up About Dealing with Depression

Since the start of her career acting in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez has experienced the blessings and curses that come with growing up in the public eye. She recently explained to Harper’s Bazaar how she has come to terms with the obstacles in her life, as well as the aspects of her life that empower her.

The 25-year-old actress and pop star was pretty forthcoming when she spoke about the issues that have plagued her this past year. Gomez believes that 2018 is going to be a better year because she is going to focus on her own “health and well-being.” The young actress has gone through some emotionally exhausting times as of late, with her public battle with Lupus and the tabloids obsession with her love life, but she’s being honest about things.

  1. This bitch is sad even with all the money. Bitch you are in the wrong field. Singing and acting is not your goddamn purpose. Maybe do something else that’s more fulfilling have you thought of that?

  2. Well, better than most of us who have no or shitty insurance and can’t afford to seek the professional help that we need, while still having to bust our asses everyday just to pay the bills. It’s hard to feel any pity for her.

  3. can someone explain to me how depression works, are you born with it or can it just hit you one day
I understand that it a disease of some sort and I understand it has something to do with chemical imbalances in the brain. My mom was born with depression and she explains to me it just comes in waves due to the chemical imbalance in her brain and she acts like a complete different person when it happens. I'm just so confused can anyone get depressed? I understand it an extreme sad feeling but being sad it apart of life but whats the difference of being extreme sad / empty feeling then being "depressed" I feel like so many people overused the word depressed when they're are just not having a good day / month / year
