Suspect Leads Lubbock Police on Chase With Two Children in Car

18-year-old Alize Castilleja is in custody facing charges for child endangerment after engaging in a police pursuit with two children in the vehicle. Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, around I-27 and 50th Street, a Lubbock police officer spotted a vehicle that was possibly involved in a home burglary on Tuesday in the 4400 block of 46th Street. A gun was stolen in that burglary and was located in the car.. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect refused to stop. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle spun out in the area of 55th Street and Avenue D. The LPD SUV and suspect vehicle collided. Three adults and two children, ages 1 and 2, were inside the suspect vehicle. No injuries were reported. The children, ages one and two, were check and cleared by EMS as a precaution. After the pursuit ended, On Thursday, Castilleja was able to post bond get out of the Lubbock County Detention Center. His pending charges included evading police in a motor vehicle.
