Tom Brady on National Anthem Protest: “We Support What People Are Going Through”

Tom Brady has weighed in on the controversial national anthem protests, saying he has “respect” for players who decided to kneel while the song plays, he told Oprah Winfrey in a new interview.

Brady said the debate surrounding the national anthem gave way to “a lot of good, healthy conversations… in our locker room.”

“I respect why people are doing what they are doing. And they’re doing it for different reasons, and that’s okay. You know, you can do things for your reason. They can do things for their reason, and you have respect for that. But, I thought it was great,” Brady told Winfrey. The full special with Brady and Oprah is set to release this weekend.

  1. When Tim Tebow Kneels on the field for standing up for Anti-Abortion, everyone applauds him. When Kaepernick kneels on the field to protest police brutality, everyone hates on him 🧐🧐🧐🧐 why is that? I know why. People are just too ignorant to admit it

  2. The rich don't care, they won't starve when the bomb is dropped. Don't love America anymore? Fine then, no more America. Try kneeling to the anthem when you are a citizen of a communist nation and see what happens. That's where this is headed.

  3. I was born and raised in New England, I love the the Patriots, but Tom Brady is wrong and I disagree with what he is saying. when a person disrespects the Nation Anthem and the American flag in any way they are disrespecting those who served and gave there lives for this great Nation. I don't care how they want to spin it. Playing sports in this country is a privileged not a right. I am tried of these spoiled athletes (who have been treated like gods most of their lives) telling how bad it is. When they go home to their ivory castle. If you don't like it don't play and go do something else.
